Bursting of the vaccines bubble and the future of healthcare

Many years ago - I think this was in 2007 or thereabouts - I sat for dinner with a couple of friends. During our conversation they told me that they didn't vaccinate any of their kids, and they had four or five of them at this point. I was astonished and naturally, I asked them why. What they told me had me even more astonished.

This was a family of very intelligent, well educated, affluent Americans and the decision not to vaccinate their kids couldn't have been a casual one. This was all news to me, so I had to check it out for myself and do some research about it. Sure enough, a large, deep rabbit hole opened up and there was no unseeing what's there.

A few months later, I spoke to my aunt who was a very well respected doctor at the Frankfurt University clinic. I asked her what she thought about vaccines, and she didn't hesitate: vaccines are safe and effective, they help the body acquire immunity by introducing a weakened pathogen, bla, bla, bla. Basically, she gave me the standard narrative about the issue. But when I probed a bit - for example, how exactly do you isolate the pathogen, how do you "weaken" it, etc. - I realized she had no idea. When I asked how much of all that she studied about this at the University, she was stumped: she didn't - almost at all.

The standard narrative was pretty much it, and that really shook up my confidence in medical advice about vaccines. At the same time, what I was reading from independent researchers was often very detailed and extensively researched. Still, any time I ventured into a discussion about the real, problematic concerns with vaccines, most people tended to simply dismiss them: it's complicated, you're not an expert, trust science, etc. Not trusting that science earned me the anti vaxxer label on a few occasions.

Fast forward to today, things are changing. Almost five years after the Covid pandemic, many more people are questioning the narrative, including among the medical professionals. My aunt's faith was shaken enough that she skipped Covid vaccines in spite of heavy pressure from her former colleagues at Frankfurt University. By now, the positions on vaccines among the doctors who did peek into the rabbit hole are starting to resemble outrage. One of them is Dr. Pierre Kory, the bestselling author of the book, "The War on Ivermectin."

Three years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Kory and we had a longish chat during a break at a conference where we both attended as speakers. He wasn't as categorically opposed to vaccines then, but his most recent statement is much stronger:

"... I started to read books on the history of vaccines, and I found that these myths that were taught in medical school, that they're myths. They're not evidence based. You know, this constant refrain, and you heard it in the hearings, about how smallpox vaccine rid us of the smallpox epidemic. That is completely false. The opposite is true ... If you really look at the history of smallpox, the vaccine made things worse, and yet our history was written as if the vaccine cured that epidemic. Same thing with polio. ... And yet, what are we told historically? That the vaccines eradicated childhood... No. It didn't. We know that now. It was personal hygiene, sanitation, water purification, you know, getting rid of slums and the, you know, the the pestilence in some of the inner city neighborhoods that fostered and bred these epidemics. ... The overstating of the efficacy and the miracle of these vaccines is a myth. Then there's the other side to it ... I learned this from ivermectin in terms of the censorship of the journal level, the propaganda that the journals play. But the burying of adverse events and the toxicities vaccines, they go hand in hand. It's safe and effective. Right? So they propagandize both, and the pharma does this around every product. But the safety of these vaccines has never been shown. In fact, it's been suppressed. This idea that there's no link between vaccines and autism is laughable, just laughable. There's immense amounts of data. There's no other explanation for the massive skyrocketing rise in autism rates and ADHD and allergies. They all parallel the explosion in the childhood schedule. So for anyone to say that there's no link, there's plenty of links. ... we know that there are really negative consequences to vaccination, but you never hear of them. Right? All you hear is how effective they are and how safe they are, and it's an easy decision. Anyone who questions it, there's something wrong with them. They don't know the science."

The ranks of doctors who now feel the same way as Dr. Kory, who decided to question "vaccines are safe and effective" orthodoxy, are very significant and growing and there really is no unseeing what was until now hidden in the rabbit hole. Unseeing the evidence and re-embracing the orthodox faith in "science," and its fatwa against questioning the safety and effectiveness of vaccines will likely have very far reaching consequences for Western health care systems and the big pharmaceutical corporations which dominate it. If it's true that vaccinations have exacerbated the explosion of chronic illnesses among Western populations, their faith in vaccines and conventional medical expertise will decline further.

The above by Dr. Kory was his reaction to the Senate confirmation hearings of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who has meanwhile been confirmed as Donald Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services and has pledged to investigate the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. This could inflict serious damage on big pharma and the healthcare industry, which constitutes a large chunk of Western economies' GDP. In the US, health care accounts for nearly a fifth of the nation's GDP. That whole edifice is at the precipice of a tectonic shift in its foundations with unpredictable consequences for the US economy and for the stock market.
