The cunning plans crafted by Keir Starmer's "coalition of the willing" are now becoming discernible. In a series of speeches, articles and news reports our illustrious leaders have communicated what we should know: prepare for war, we must rearm, boost defense spending because, Russia, Russia, Russia!!! Ursula von der Leyen announced the €800 billion "Rearm Europe Plan," affirming that Europe is ready to "massively boost its defense spending." Keir Starmer made a similar announcement, as did French president Emmanuel Macron and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
London's Financial Times joined the clarion call with an article titled, "Europe must trim its welfare state to build a warfare state," whose author Janan Ganesh spells out what must be done and reveals our ruling "elites" mindset: we must rearm and prepare for war, only the public's too stupid to realize it, so we must ratchet up the pain dial until the morale improves. Says MI6 Ganesh: "The question is whether the public agrees. .. Chronic discomfort isn't enough. An element of real fear has to come in..." And what better bogeyman to stir up fear than evil Vladimir Putin and aggressive Russia. President Macron reminded the plebs: we can't trust Russia because, among other things, they violated Minsk Agreements. Also, disbelieve the social media because they're spreading lies.
Macron’s true lies
Taking a jab at the social media "lies," and also at Russia for violating Minsk Agreements is indicative of the ethos of Europe’s "coalition of the willing." They hold their own populations in contempt and use brazen, mendacious distortions of facts as their currency of persuasion. Accusing Russia of violating Minsk Agreements is exactly the perfect case in point, which is also why Macron and others in the coalition would prefer you only read mainstream media sources. Otherwise, you might learn that Minsk II agreements were signed by the representatives of Ukraine, OSCE and the leaders of Donetsk and Lugansk Republics on 12 February 2015. Russia supported the Minsk II Accords, but is not a signatory.
Minsk II was a peace plan which set forth a 13-point agreement including an immediate, comprehensive ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy weapons, OSCE monitoring, dialogue between Kiev and the representatives of Donetsk and Lugansk to resolve their differences, prisoner exchanges, humanitarian relief, etc. Furthermore, the Minsk II Accord was endorsed 15:0 by the UN Security Council and guaranteed by France and Germany.
The Normandy Format entailed extensive monthly telephone conversations between the French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and President Putin in which the four exchanged information related to implementation of the agreed measures. In this way, the Minsk II agreement provided a venue for direct talks between Ukraine and Russia. Furthermore, the Kremlin may have hoped that the arrangement could be conducive to Russia’s main security concern: steering Ukraine toward neutrality and ensuring that it does not join NATO.
Buying time for war
However, Kiev never made any serious efforts to implement the agreements and by 2018 it was clear that Minsk 2 Accords were faltering: Ukraine’s forces did not withdraw heavy weapons from the buffer zone and the missile and artillery attacks against towns and villages of Donbas continued almost daily. By 2022, these attacks caused over 14,000 casualties. For their part, the European powers ignored these breaches and pretended that Ukraine was complying with their obligations.
In fact, as we learned much later, the Ukrainian side never intended to comply with Minsk . Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that, “Ukraine’s sole objective in signing Minsk 2 was to rebuild the Ukrainian army and strengthen the international coalition against Russia,” adding that, “That was understood from the very first day.” The European “guarantors” of the deal were fully in on the deception.
In an interview with the magazine, “Die Zeit,” Germany’s ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted that, “The 2014 Minsk Agreement was an attempt to buy time for Ukraine. Ukraine used this time to become stronger, as you can see today. Ukraine in 2014-2015 and Ukraine today are not the same.” She added that Minsk Agreements only suspended, but did not resolve the conflict, which “was exactly what gave Ukraine the priceless time.”
In April 2023 Merkel’s confession was confirmed by former French President Francois Hollande in a stunning conversation with two Russian pranksters, Lexus and Vovan. Believing that he was speaking with Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko, Hollande said among other things that, “Everyone thought it was Putin who wanted to gain time. No, it was us who sought to gain time to give Ukraine an opportunity to recover, to improve its military capabilities. And that’s the exact reason why we should defend the Minsk Agreements in which you [“Petro Poroshenko”] played a big role. They have to be defended because during those 7 years Ukraine got the resources to strengthen itself.” Hollande also admitted that the EU and France were in fact “participants” in the conflict but explained that they didn’t want to declare their involvement openly to avoid the risk of Russia’s retaliation.
Finally, Poroshenko himself made the same admissions in several interviews, including with Germany’s Deutsche Welle channel: “We had achieved everything we wanted,” said Poroshenko. “Our goal was first, to stop the threat, or at least to delay the war – to secure eight years to restore economic growth and create powerful armed forces.” Incidentally, Poroshenko also fell victim to the pranksters Vovan and Lexus. Believing that he was speaking to the former US Ambassador to Moscow, Michael McFaul, Poroshenko said that while it was possible to fulfill the Minsk agreements, the real plan was to take advantage of it for NATO and Ukraine to arm and organize Ukraine’s army for a future war against Russia.
Q: But do you agree that it was impossible to implement the Minsk agreements?
Poroshenko: … I needed these Minsk accords so that the world was at least 4 or 5 years old from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, rebuild the Ukrainian economy and train the forces, Ukrainian navies together with NATO to create the best armed forces in Eastern Europe, which were formed according to NATO standards.
Send in the clown
Finally, Poroshenko’s successor, Volodymyr Zelensky who came to power in 2019 expressed equally disdainful sentiment toward the Minsk Agreements. During a press conference held after his first meeting with Vladimir Putin in Paris, on Monday 9 December 2019, Zelensky openly mocked Putin with derisive smirks directed at the press as the Russian President spoke the following words: “… implementation of the Minsk agreements, the special status of Donbas on a permanent basis, it is necessary, of course, to extend the term of the agreement on the special status of certain regions of Donbas and, ultimately, to make this provision permanent as provided for in the Minsk Agreements.”
Even at this late stage President Putin was insisting on implementing the agreements and avoiding the war. Later, in an interview with Der Spiegel published on 9 February 2023, Zelensky said that he intentionally sabotaged the agreements and recalled telling Chancellor Merkel and the new President of France Emmanuel Macron that, “we cannot implement it,” and that his intention was to negotiate a prisoner swap with Russia and gain time to further strengthen Ukraine’s military.
About the talented Mr. Macron
The fact that the president of France would address Europeans and knowingly lie to their faces in order to justify militarization and further immiseration of Europe and thereby exacerbate the risk of another World War on the old continent is a perfect illustration of the depravity and moral bankruptcy of our leadership today. We are ruled by a degenerocracy, and that seems to be literally true.
Last month Candance Owens treated us to her own series of investigative reports about Mr. Macron and the people he's surrounded himself with. I'm not particularly interested in celebrity gossip type of news but I did watch two episodes Owens presented. If only a fraction of what she dug up is true, the EU is not in good hands, and the harder they push their agendas, the more likely it becomes that the "storming of the Bastille" type of unravelling of the present political crisis could become our reality.
